5pm was the hottest part of the day at the remarkable Lake Powell as the sun got closer to the gorgeous sandstone, creating intense golden spotlights and contrasting shadows I had never seen before.
I cannot believe these rocks are formed from sand and wind. As a Brit, it felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity to be there.
No connection with the outside world for a week allowed more room for these moments with nature.
